Please join Students for Accurate Vaccine Information (SAVI) for our first meeting of the year, which will be held virtually on Thursday, September 23rd at 7pm (Zoom link below).
SAVI is an inter-professional health student organization aimed at addressing vaccine hesitancy and misinformation and promoting vaccine confidence through dialogue, health education, and community outreach. We are excited to build upon the foundation we started last year, and welcome any and all new members!
Our first meeting will feature a lively discussion on the current research, recommendations, and ethical debates surrounding COVID-19 booster shots in the United States with an amazing group of faculty experts, including:
- Dr. Kevin Dieckhaus (MD), Chief of Infectious Diseases and Director of Global Health and International Studies at UConn Health
- Dr. Audrey Chapman (PhD), Professor of Public Health Sciences whos research focuses on public health and human rights issues; Member of the UConn Health Ethics Committee
- Dr. Andrea Hubbard (PhD), Professor Emeritus of Pharmacology and Toxicology at UConn Health and UConn School of Pharmacy
