The Windham Region No Freeze project was founded in 2003 by concerned citizens wanting to work to provide shelter to those experiencing homelessness. We work to provide safe and temporary shelter to those in the community regardless of external factors. No Freeze is a “wet shelter” and accepts those who may have trouble accessing other shelters. Participants assist staff in nightly duties such as cleaning, setting up common areas, check-in, and chore assignments, interacting with guests, and being there to assist with other projects.
