The Daily Campus is looking for more artists to join its Artists section! There is no application process and the level of commitment is entirely up to you.
The Daily Campus prints two cartoons/comics daily: One in color and one in grayscale. They can be about anything — politics, pop culture, current events. Or you could just make a comic strip about your life or a character or anything else. We really love content specific to UConn, because it makes our publication really unique, but we’re really open to anything as long as it’s not vulgar or inappropriate.
We're also looking for artists interested in producing illustrations for articles. Certain articles in our Opinion and Life sections often end up using stock images to go alongside them, especially online. That's where artists come in to produce an illustration for articles that we wouldn't normally have photos of (Ex. articles about mental health, climate change, etc.).
Consistent and experienced members can apply for a paid staff position later on.
