University of Connecticut Student-Assistant for Football Recruiting
Primary Purpose of Position(s)
- Graphic Design, Player Personnel, Recruiting
- Provide day-to-day support to the UConn Football Recruiting Department, including coaches and the strength & conditioning staff.
- Execute daily recruiting activities and events from start to finish with the Director of Player Personnel and support staff.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide support to Recruiting Department to successfully execute on-campus recruiting events by assisting with scheduling, confirmations, student worker assignments, and event logistics.
- Work alongside Recruiting Assistants to ensure that recruiting communications are sent to prospective student-athletes appropriately.
- Gather game results & statistical information on Prospective Student-Assistants.
- Assist in maintaining the Recruiting Database.
- Work with Recruiting Department to ensure PSAs are on pace to meet NCAA and University standards.
- *Graphic Design - Assist with recruiting graphics. Help organize assets and files. Concept ideation. Be able to work a flexible schedule and possible weekends.
Other Work Responsibilities
- Assist Director of Player Personnel with evaluation of potential prospects, based on athletic and academic performance.
- Perform other office duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively with tight deadlines.
- Team-oriented and willing to work irregular hours.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and knowledge of Google Applications.
- *Graphic Design - Strong working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and/or Indesign.
