What is the Asian/Asian American Mentoring Program (AMP)?

We are an award-winning peer-mentoring program tailored towards incoming first years as well as transfer students new to Storrs. We provide a place for Asian-identifying students to get started on the right foot at UConn in a space that is receptive to their personal backgrounds. Joining AMP is a great way to explore identity, build a strong network and create lasting friendships with your and other mentors, mentees, and professional staff at the Asian American Cultural Center!

    How it works:

Mentors and mentees who apply are matched based on a common major/minor or shared interest. Throughout the year, AMP hosts social and discussion-based events as a way for mentors and mentees to meet and build their community within the organization. Additionally, mentees will meet with their mentors on their own time and have them as support for academic, social, cultural, and personal aspects of university life.
