    • GSCI 2800: Our Evolving Atmosphere, Tuesday/Thursday 9:30-10:45
      • This course is intended for student interested in an introduction to weather and climate. It satisfies the CA-3 Gen-Ed requirement.
      • Topics:

        • Atmospheric Composition 
        • Earth’s Energy Balance

    • GSCI 4150: Applied Data Analysis in Earth Sciences
      • Topics: Linear regression and hypothesis testing; Principal component analysis; Classi- cation; Cluster analysis
      • Learning Objectives:
        •  1) to provide conceptual understanding of multivariate analysis techniques that are used to diagnose and predict spatial variance structure of observations of climate, weather, and ecosystem;
        •  2) to provide comprehensive training on programing using R.
    • GSCI 4140 - Sedimentary Basin Analysis, Tuesday/Thursday 12:30-1:45
      • Course themes: 
        • Tectonic and environmental controls on the development and preservation of sedimentary basins. 
        • Emphasis on mechanisms of formation, characteristic depositional patterns, and sediment composition in modern and ancient tectonic settings
