Hello Lovers of Literature!
Literary Minds is currently seeking a Treasurer and Secretary for the 2021-22 academic year! What is Literary Minds, you ask? We are a hub for all majors and disciplines that share one common passion: literature! Whether you're a writer, poet, lover of romance, a science fiction buff, or just need to get through that one English paper, we're the RSO for you! Below are the role descriptions for each vacant position:
Treasurer:
- In charge of the club's finances including but not limited to: financial record keeping, securing RSO funding, creating the semester budget (with help of fellow e-board members), and collection/tracking of dues if applicable. The treasurer will also be in charge of distributing contest prizes/winnings in the event a contest is held.
Secretary:
- The secretary will be in charge of the club's internal communication. Any correspondence (emails, surveys, club announcements, etc.) between the E-board and club members will be handled by the club secretary. New member and UConntact requests will go through and be managed by the secretary. In addition to this, the secretary will keep all minutes for E-board meetings and distribute them among the E-board members.
**Both treasurer and secretary will have opportunities to come up with and plan events, design flyers and other promotional items if they so choose. All E-board members will have access to any potential club social media accounts and take turns managing said accounts.
