  • NUSC 1167 Food, Culture, and Society - Summer

    The Department of Nutritional Sciences is offering the following Summer course:

     

    COURSE: NUSC 1167 – Food, Culture, and Society

    INSTRUCTOR: Dr. Molika Chea

    CREDITS: 3 credit course

    TIME: 6 week period during Alternative Session 1, from June 1st until July 9th

    PREREQUISITES: There are no prerequisites needed to enroll in this course

    COURSE DESCRIPTION: Students will learn about the social, cultural, and economic factors affecting dietary intake and nutritional status.  Contemporary topics that will be discussed includes world food problems, hunger in the United States, dieting and eating disorders, health foods, and vegetarianism.
