  • EPSY 2450/W - Whole Child, School, and Community

In this introductory course, we examine the interrelated contributors in health and education on child well-being. The Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model is used to organize the course, with topics spanning each of the 10 components within the model. We discuss the theory and evidence behind initiatives to integrate policy, process, and practice across learning and health sectors, providing broad perspective on interconnections across critical systems of care for children. Using case studies, we provide exposure to critical issues in engaging and advocating for approaches that link health and academics to facilitate positive outcomes and reduce risk for children.
