  • 3/30 Free In-Person Lessons with UConn Swing & Blues

Interested in learning how to dance? UConn Swing & Blues teaches beginner-friendly dance lessons every Tuesday! Swing dance is a culmination of dance styles created by the African American dance community, originating from the Harlem Renaissance in 1920s New York City, encompassing everything from Charleston to Lindy Hop to Jive.

Join us in-person this week for our dance lessons! We'll be showing you some fun Ragtime dance moves, as well as an introduction to funk and soul dance. In-person lessons are first come, first serve, and we'll be capping attendance at 25 people. No prior registration required! We hope to see you there this week!

All levels of dance experience are welcome. Learn how to dance from the comfort of your dorm too, no partners required! We are an LGBTQ+ safe space. Lessons are free to watch, and moderators will be answering questions to the best of their abilities. Check our Facebook out for our in-person lesson COVID-19 regulations!
