A Beginner’s Guide to Legislation: The Basics of Reading and Analyzing Legislation

    March 26th 1-2 PM

Legislation governs every aspect of society, the rules we live by everyday. From our healthcare system to our education to the country’s international relations. To be an active, informed citizen, it is important to feel comfortable reading legislation. Reading and putting legislation into context allows one to better understand the full picture and come to their own educated conclusions about them. In this workshop, Dr. Venator-Santiago of UConn’s Political Science Department will give students tips and speak on the best practices for reading and analyzing legislation.
