UConn Swing & Blues is currently recruiting new board members!
For those who may not be familiar, UConn Swing & Blues is a social dancing club that meets on Tuesdays every week to teach dance lessons and practice dance skills. Our club is beginner-friendly and an LGBTQ+ safe space. You are not required to have prior dance experience or a dance partner to participate in our lessons! We primarily teach African American vernacular dance styles, particularly East Coast Swing and Lindy Hop and blues.
Interested in running for an e-board position? We’re looking for people to fill 2 priority positions ASAP: Treasurer and Secretary. We’re also looking for people to fill various other board positions including: cultural chair, event coordinator, social media chair, fundraising chair. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, UConn Swing & Blues is operating at a lower capacity, meaning this is the best time to join the board to learn about your job in a time of low-stress!
