Matt Lynes is an Assistant Investigator at the Joslin Diabetes Center and an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. After receiving his Ph.D. in 2012, he was a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Yu-Hua Tseng’s lab at the Joslin and is currently a researcher in Dr. Tseng’s lab. In his work, he has identified a novel signaling lipid capable of facilitating lipid uptake and oxidation into brown fat cells, and his most recent work has extended the understanding of how brown fat cells develop.
