Put your English language skills to good use by working one-on-one in weekly tutoring sessions with individuals learning English as a second language. Create mutually fulfilling connections by offering a safe space for non-native English-speaking adults to improve their writing, reading, and speaking skills, gain invaluable teaching experience, and develop relationships with students that foster exciting dialogue on language and culture from diverse perspectives. Flexible meeting times can accommodate even the busiest of schedules!
This virtual volunteer opportunity is run by the English Language Learners program here at UConn in partnership with the Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury. No prior ESL experience necessary; training is provided prior to tutoring sessions. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply here. Make a difference in our community and have fun doing it!
