  • 2/19 AWM Film Screening and Public Lecture

The Association for Women in Mathematics Student Chapter at UConn invites you, in collaboration with UConn Logic Group, to a two-day event celebrating the life and mathematical legacy of Julia Robinson. We will host a virtual screening of George Csicsery's film Julia Robinson And Hilbert's Tenth Problem on February 18th from 5-6pm. Additionally, on Friday, February 19th at 3:00 pm, prominent logician and former AWM president Carol Wood will give a a talk aimed at the mixed audience of undergraduate students through faculty, and not only in mathematics but also from related departments such as computer science and philosophy. Dr. Wood's lecture will be about the life and work of Julia Robinson to help build on what is covered in the movie.
