Kodama Taiko is a student ensemble that fuses traditional Japanese taiko drumming with modern influences. At our practices, we learn about Japanese culture, practice proper form and technique, learn pieces together, play with rhythmic improvisation, and rehearse for performances. We aim to explore the art of taiko drumming in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Open to all UConn students, regardless of experience!
