    UConn undergraduate STEM majors currently in your 1st or 2nd year:

     

    Interested in being an undergraduate researcher, but not sure where to begin?

    Consider applying to be a UConn McNair Fellow!

     

    Attend office hours with Program Coordinator, Dr. Renee!

    * Is it OK if I don’t know if I want to go to graduate school?

    * Is there a GPA requirement?

    * Am I eligible if I am in ACES taking STEM courses?

    * What are the fall semester program components?

    * What can I learn in one semester?

    * What is the Fellow application timeline this spring 2021 semester?

     

    Application due date: Friday, February 12, 2021, before 12 noon

    + 1 letter from a UConn professor, or professional staff advisor/mentor by February 19

     

    January 26, Tuesday @ 1:30 – 2:30pm

    February 2, Tuesday @ 11:30am – 12:30pm

    February 5, Friday @ 10 – 11am

    February 9, Tuesday @ 1:30 – 2:30pm

    You are eligible if you are:

    (A) among the first generation in your family to attend a 4 year college AND meet the low income guidelines on the application chart based on your family size,

    OR

    (B) Self-identify as an underrepresented racial or ethnic group as listed on the application,

    OR

    able to check off both (A) and (B).
