  • 11/20 "Gen Silent" Film Screening and Discussion

    The UConn School of Social Work, in collaboration with AARP CT, invites you to join a screening and intimate discussion of the landmark film, "Gen Silent," which shares the stories of LGBTQ older adults dealing with the challenges and hopes of growing older. "Gen Silent" has inspired a movement of advocates to create safe and welcoming experiences for older adults and caregivers.

    Attendees will receive certification training credit:
    • Receive specialized training certificate from AARP CT
    • Build competency in LGBTQ/Aging issues
    • Gain a competitive edge in the workforce
    Registration is required.

    Screening
    Begins Friday, November 20 at noon
    The film will be available to view for 48 hours after the initial start time.
