  • 11/12 U21 RISE Information Session

    Do you have a project focused on a sustainability venture or social enterprise? Join us to learn more about the U21 RISE Showcase, where you can make global connections and scale up your project. Participants have the chance to win $2,000 from U21 to put towards their project!

    Our virtual information sessions started this week! If you can't make it today, we're holding another session tomorrow. Please register on Nexus by clicking the session you’re interested in attending. All times are listed in Eastern Standard Time (EST).

    RISE – Real Impact on Society and Environment – is a Universitas 21 (U21) opportunity to showcase student projects tied to sustainability and social innovation and to connect those students with a network of experts in academia and industry. UConn has been invited to nominate 3-4 student-led projects. Please note that UConn students must enter through UConn's Office of Global Affairs. 

    Project Requirements

    • Address one (or more) of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
    • Be at an action or implementation stage
    • Be led by a team of up to 7 students. Individuals may submit projects as well.
    • Submission of a written application (required by UConn) and a presentation in the format of an original video pitch (to be submitted to U21) by February 19, 2021.
