  • 10/24 Debate on Critical Theory and Civil Rights

The UConn Students for Liberty chapter is hosting a discussion on Critical theory and Civil Rights. Dr. Stephen Hicks, professor of Philosophy at Rockford University, and Dr. Louise Hitchcock, professor of Archaelogy at the University of Melbourne, are having a conversation about the rise of a methodology called critical theory, along with its influences on post-modernism. Is it helpful at establishing and enhancing rights, or does it make perpetually harder to speak truth to power?

Join us to hear two highly informed perspectives on the ideas of critical theory, culture and liberty from these two distinguished professors. The event is on Saturday, October 24th, from 8:30 am to 10:00 am EST. Type the link below to receive the Zoom link by email- https://rb.gy/w7pboi
