  • 10/8 What's that Vegetable?

Come join Ecogarden club, Bringing Awareness Into Latino Ethnicities (BAILE), and other cultural student organizations as we Plant Our Roots by discussing vegetables (and other foods) that are important to our cultural heritage. At this show-and-tell style event we’ll share foods, recipes, and conversation about different vegetables and how they grow. We’ll plant our own microgreens (bring your own disposable plastic/take out food container to plant them in) and have trivia. This event will help us plan for our Planting Our Roots project, where we’ll be collaborating with the Cultural Centers and their organizations to grow culturally-meaningful crops in the spring semester.

On-campus residents can attend the event in-person, in SU 304 (RSVP here), and all students are welcome to attend virtually

For honors students, this event is considered an honors event in the category of Multiculturalism & Global Citizenship.
