Do you love giving back to your community? Are you looking for volunteer opportunities? The Mansfield Senior Center is looking for volunteers this semester through UConn’s Community Outreach. All activities will be virtual this semester, and as a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to lead Bingo, singalongs, book club, etc. with Seniors in the local community on Zoom! During a normal semester, we would have several in-person service opportunities available including crafting, knitting, brain games, and the Maple Road Cafe that are waiting for volunteers of all talents and interests. The Seniors love having us there, in person or virtually, and it is a great way to experience working with a different population and to form close bonds with older adults.
It will be due by Saturday 10/3, and it takes about 15 minutes to complete.
The applications will be followed by an interview process, and if selected for the part, a short information session (date and time TBD).
