Want to volunteer at UConn and learn more and formulate a plan for fighting food insecurity and food waste in the UConn community? Apply to join SOS Food Recovery! This is a program through the Office of Community Outreach which works with the dining halls, UConn cafes, and Price Chopper to collect and donate unused food to the local Covenant Soup Kitchen in Willimantic. Volunteers typically collect and drive food donations to the Soup Kitchen once a week in the morning as well as participate in occasional meetings. This semster there may be some oppertunities for in person volunteering and some virtual oppertunities as well. Please use the application below, and contat with any questions!
