Volunteer Opportunities

  • Join Big Brothers Big Sisters

Do you like working with kids? Do you want a volunteer opportunity that will serve you and a local elementary student for years to come? Do you just want to have a meaningful, impactful experience that will give you a reprieve from the stresses of college? If you said yes to any of those questions, then come join Big Brothers Big Sisters!

We are a one-on-one youth mentorship program aimed at developing long-lasting relationships with local elementary school students. You will spend about 90 minutes with one child once a week (schedule below) helping with homework, playing games, and assisting with activities, but most importantly you will be a trusted friend for a child in need. Many of the children in program are facing difficult challenges in their life, so you will help them develop the tools that they need to be successful in their life while forging a bond that will let both of you learn, grow, and flourish together. Please note: this program is a two semester minimum commitment to ensure we are forming relationships that will genuinely help the children in ways that best support their social development patterns.

We are hosting an information session TODAY at 3:30PM! Come stop by, hear a little bit more about the mission of the program, and ask any questions that you might have!
