Do you have Chronic Low Back Pain or Type 2 Diabetes or Both?
Dr. Louise Reagan is seeking volunteers to be part of a paid research study for phase 1 or 2. For phase 1, we are recruiting volunteers to evaluate an electronic daily diary. Phase 1 study procedures are electronic with no visit required. Phase 2 of the research includes two visits to the UCONN School of Nursing Pain Research lab in Storrs OR UCONN Health in Farmington and participation from home. Participation will include completing questionnaires about your pain and diabetes, undergoing a sensory assessment, and providing blood and saliva samples. If you are ages 18 and older, have a smartphone, have low back pain for at least 3 of the last 6 months, OR have type 2 diabetes with low back pain, OR have type 2 diabetes alone, you may be eligible to participate. You will not eligible if you: are pregnant or within 3-months post-partum; or have type 1 diabetes.
