Honors Across State Borders is a student-run service organization that focuses on combining education, service, and community engagement to work towards long-term change. At the beginning of the fall semester, we hold an application process including an interview to select our members for the upcoming year. Although HASB is associated with the Honors program, we welcome ALL students interested in volunteering to apply! Some of our events include an alternative spring break trip, a fall service trip, educational large and small group discussions, and other service opportunities spread throughout the year. Members are able to learn about social issues, environmental justice, and privilege, then go out into the world and create change!
*Due to UConn’s Covid-19 regulations, the fall semester will be virtual. We will hold interviews, large and small group meetings, and service opportunities virtually. Check us out at the Involvement Fair Sept 8th, from 4-6pm.
We will hold Informational Sessions after the Involvement Fair on Thursday, Sept 10th at 7pm & Friday, Sept 11th at 4pm. Applications will be sent out later that Friday.
