    Annual Rada Devi Joshi Lecture in India Studies

     

    In this lecture Professor Muralidharan will discuss the deep structural challenges of the Indian education system and will suggest reforms based on his extensive research.

    Professor Muralidharan is actively involved in advising and capacity building in India at both the central and state government levels.  He is co-chair of the education research program of the Poverty Action Lab at MIT and a Research Associate of the National Bureau for Economic Research.  His research spans development, as well as public, and labor economics with a focus on improving public spending in the social sector.
