The Identifying the Missing Power of Asian/Asian Americans in Connecticut Conference began in 2006 as a catalyst to empower students in their individual journeys of self-development, identity development, and leadership skills, and we are offering this experience to any and all UConn Students this November! This year's theme is "Weaving our Individual Stories into Collective Power" with a focus on identity exploration, community building, and leadership, and will be presented by our main speaker, rita zhang.
rita (she/her/hers) is a community builder and scholar-activist who has spent 13 years working on issues related to racial coalition building, higher education access and equity, and fostering loving communities. Now, she is bringing her talents to the UConn community!
IMPAACT 2019 will be taking place on Saturday, November 9th, 2019 with check-in starting at 9:45 AM and we will be ending at 5:00 PM. This is an all-day event, so LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED.
