May 24 to August 15, 2019
Husky Scholars act as role models and mentors. They deliver messages about healthy eating and physical activity to children and parents in underserved areas throughout Connecticut. The Husky Scholars program expects successful applicants to participate in discussions on provided readings and to complete an individual or group research project for presentation at the end of the experience.
Schedule: Minimum of 24 to 30 hours per week with potential for additional hours.
Typical hours will be Monday - Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.; occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
13-week commitment from May 24 through August 15, 2019.
There is a possibility of additional hours through September 30, 2019.
Location: J. Ray Ryan Building - 2006 Hillside Rd., Storrs
Pay Rate: $10.60 - $12.00 per hour, depending on experience. This is a temporary summer position with no benefits.
