Research Study on Social Media and HIV Testing

Volunteers Wanted for a Research Study

    What is this study about?

I would like to invite you to participate in a study I’m conducting for my honors thesis. I want to study Black students at a predominately white university with the hopes of understanding their perspective on HIV and HIV testing. I want to know how much a student knows about HIV/AIDS and how using social media platforms might influence their choice to get HIV tested.

    Who can participate?

Any undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Connecticut who identify as Black, African American, Caribbean, African, and/or Multiracial.

What will I have to do?

To participate, you will complete a 15-minute Qualtrics online survey asking about Social Media and HIV testing.

Once you complete the survey, you will be directed to a new link to receive your $10.00 Amazon gift certificate.

This research will be conducted under the direction of Dr. Edna Brown of the Human Development and Family Studies Department.
