  • Study Abroad in London Info Session Tomorrow

    Study abroad in London this spring!  UConn in London offers students two tracks in which to complete an entire semester of coursework in the heart of one of the most exciting cities in the world.  Learn more by attending one of two information sessions on Wednesday, September 25th:

    UConn in London Info Sessions: Wednesday, September 25, 5:00 – 6:00 PM in Laurel Hall 205; and 7:00 – 8:00 PM in Laurel Hall 206

    Each session will provide information about both tracks:

    UConn Business and Economics in London is an upper-level internship program for economics and business majors, offering you the chance to work in a variety of businesses, start-ups and multinational corporations throughout the city.  The first part of the semester is frontloaded with two courses while the second part consists of a 4 day/week internship.  Coursework includes BADM 4893:  Business Ethics (3 credits) and FNCE 4305 Global Financial Management (FNCE 3101 pre-requisite) or ECON 3422 International Finance (ECON 2202 pre-requisite).

    UConn in London (global citizenship/international perspective track) offers students the chance to engage with critical global issues both inside the classroom and through volunteer placements. The program makes the most of being located in the middle of London for expanding your understanding of global problems in the areas of human rights, social justice, sustainability, women's rights, immigrant rights, economics, health care, and education. During various field studies you will explore the city unknown to the tourist and in the course of your voluntary contributions to NGO community placements, you will learn more about the complexities of global citizenship in one of the most exciting and diverse cities in the world.
