Dr. Xiaomei Cong and Zahra Amirkhanzadeh Barandouzi are seeking healthy volunteers to be part of a paid research study. This research is being done at the School of Nursing at UConn Storrs is evaluating pain sensitivity and gut microbiome. Participation will include completing questionnaires, a sensory examination and providing cheek swabs, blood and stool samples during 2 visits over 12 weeks.
If you are between the ages of 18-29 years and able to read and speak English and have no other chronic health conditions; you may be eligible to participate.
You will not be eligible if you are:
Experiencing chronic pain of any kind, have irritable bowel syndrome, pregnant or postpartum 3 months.
