Colleagues,
As you may already have heard, Katrina Spencer, AVP for Budget and Planning, will be leaving UConn for a position at the University of Chicago. Her last day will be February 16th. Please join me in appreciation for Katrina’s steady hand on the University’s budget during a very difficult period. Her leadership was instrumental in balancing our last three budgets, simplifying university fiscal rules, communicating the University’s financial situation to the legislature and the public, and implementing budget systems that will be her legacy here. Thank you Katrina!
I am also pleased to announce that Lloyd Blanchard, PhD, our Associate Vice Provost for Institutional Research, has agreed to also serve as interim AVP for Budget and Planning. Lloyd brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this assignment having previously served as Senior Vice President for Administration and Chief Operating Officer at Medgar Evers College, CUNY, Vice Provost for Fiscal Management at Louisiana State University, as well as senior financial positions in the federal government at NASA, the Small Business Administration, and the President’s Office of Management and Budget. Lloyd has also held faculty positions at Syracuse University, the University of Washington, and is an APIR here at UConn. Please join me in welcoming Lloyd to this new role, and thanking him for agreeing to take it on.
Scott A. Jordan
Executive Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer
