We are recruiting children of 4, 6, and 8 years of age to participate in a study examining concept organization in children. The purpose of the study is to determine whether conceptual organization differs in children with and without language impairments. If significant differences are found, the study will help explain children with language impairment's delay in language acquisition. We hope these results will lead to better assessment and intervention procedures for children identified with language impairments. In return for your participation in the study, we will provide you with a summary of your child's performance on the language and nonverbal measures used to determine your child's qualification for the study.
