  • 10/11 Night Sky Observation at Avery Point

The next Night Sky Observation at Avery Point, is planned for Wednesday, October 11, 7:30 - 9:30. The weather so far seems promising and the moon will be a waning Gibbous (rises at 11:12 PM), so we should have a great observing night.
We setup at 7:00 PM by the Long Island Observation Platform on the South-West corner of the lawn. Parking is available behind the library. Come prepared with your favorite astronomical object to observe and we will find it together.
The Observations with UConn's telescopes and the telescopes of the Thames Amateur Astronomical Society, are open to all members of the UConn community: students, faculty and staff, and their guests, as well as to the public.
