  • 10/4 MBB: Binding Affinities-MicroScale Thermophoresis

A seminar on the technique of MicroScale Thermophoresis (MST) will be presented by Myriam Badr from Nanotemptertech.  The seminar will be held in room E-2036 at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 4th. MST is a fast growing technique for determining binding affinities in solution for a wide variety of biomolecular interactions. MST uses small amounts of sample, can be performed in as little as 30 minutes, and can determine binding affinities of both large and small molecules over a wide range of affinities.

The seminar is in conjunction with an on-site demonstration where seven different laboratories will be testing known binding interactions of several different biological interactions. If you are interested in learning more about the technique please join us, and if you have any questions feel free to contact Mark Maciejewski at markm@uchc.edu.
