Dear State Employees:
There are two exciting tennis opportunities that support the Connecticut State Employees Campaign for Charitable Giving (CSEC) we would like to share with you.
First-- You can help support the CSEC and save money when you buy tickets to the Connecticut Open happening in New Haven next month. When buying tickets, you can save 25% and have 50% of the ticket price donated to the CSEC when you use the promo code: CO17CSEC. The attached flyer has all the information on how to buy tickets.
Second-- We hope you will join us for the second annual Connecticut State Employees' Campaign (CSEC) Tennis Tournament. Attached is a flyer of the event which will be held at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale (New Haven) on Saturday, September 9th and Sunday, September 10th. If you joined us last year, you know we had a very successful inaugural year and that our 260 player slots filled up completely. As such, Early Registration is suggested to ensure that you are able to play in your preferred division(s).

Some basic information:
· There are competitive divisions (for experienced players) as well as non-competitive divisions (for those of you that have not picked up a racquet in years)
· Due to strong sponsor support, the entry fee is $30 per person which includes your court time, a tournament t-shirt, tennis balls for each match, water and free parking
· Matches will be played on the same courts that the professionals will be playing on two weeks earlier
· Matches will be 8 game "pro-sets" with winners moving up their bracket (with rest time between matches.) Finals matches for our competitive divisions will be best two of three sets (with a third set tie-breaker.)
· Entrants may play in a singles and ONE doubles division with no time conflicts guaranteed. We will attempt to mitigate time conflicts for those wishing to play in two doubles divisions
· Food trucks will be on-site
