  • 3/6 Encouraging the Growth Mindset in Students

    You are invited to participate in CETL’s teaching talk “Encouraging the Growth Mindset in Students” on Monday, March 6th, from 1:30 – 2:45 p.m. in ROWE 319.  This is one of a series of Informal discussions aimed at sharing teaching ideas and concerns and discussing techniques and strategies with colleagues, experts, and CETL staff.

    At this session, participants will discuss topics like

    • Introducing students to the concept of “mindset”
    • Encouraging the growth mindset in your students by
      • Adjusting assignment descriptions
      • Providing appropriate feedback

     

    All UConn instructors-graduate students, TAs, and APIRs, as well as adjunct, tenure-track and tenured faculty-are encouraged to attend.
