Writing in graduate school can be tough, but making a commitment to structured writing time can help. Writing in the presence of others can also bring a sense of solidarity and productivity that can get you through even the toughest projects. The Writing Center is offering several events in March to support graduate students with their writing. Please note that no tutoring or lectures are offered at the following retreats: only time and space to write.
Graduate Student Writing Retreat
Saturday, March 4th, 10am - 5pm
Storrs Hall, Widmer Wing 16
Coffee, tea, and a few light snacks will be provided. Funding for these events is generously provided by the Graduate Student Senate.

Dissertation Boot Camp
Monday, March 13th to Thursday, March 16th, 9am - 4pm
Storrs Campus, Pharmacy Library
Space is limited to dissertation writers only. To reserve your spot and to create an incentive for you to write for each of the four days, you must register through Eventbrite and submit a promissory note for $50 by Wednesday, March 8th. Please stop by Rowe 214 to complete and sign one of these notes, which can also be emailed to you on request. If you do not attend each day, the Bursar's Office will charge you and we will use the funds for future retreats.
