In our constant efforts to service UConn’s international community, this Spring the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning would like to offer the opportunity for international instructors (all faculty, TAs, postdocs, or staff involved with teaching) to continue working on their spoken English and teaching skills in weekly 1-hour group meetings. The exact content of each meeting will depend on each group’s interests and needs related to classroom effectiveness, such as pronunciation, active learning strategies, intercultural issues, presentation skills, etc.
We will be running meetings on:
- Tuesdays from 1pm to 2pm
- Wednesdays from 2pm to 3pm
- Thursdays from 2pm to 3pm
All meetings will be in Rowe 319. If you'd like to be part of one of these groups, please register here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSelIO0NwcvklDBe-kezJ_ufX71UeVkhyfoVYAO3ZWwqzrruUw/viewform
Feel free to share this message with any of your colleagues. Also, remember that if you cannot or would not like to join a group, you can schedule individual consultations with me.
I hope to see you some time this Spring.
All the best,
Cynthia L. Z. DeRoma, Ph.D.
