Special Events and Receptions

  • AIDS35/School of Nursing

As part of campus-wide events to mark the 35th anniversary of the AIDS epidemic, the UConn School of Nursing announces the opening of the last of three special exhibits on the Storrs campus. Located in the Widmer Wing atrium of Storrs Hall, "Nursing, Medicine, and AIDS" includes an exhibit related to the history, culture, research, and nursing practice of AIDS care and prevention. In addition, a traveling exhibit from the National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine, "Surviving and Thriving: AIDS, Politics, and Culture," is also displayed. This exhibit will be available until November 1 and is a companion to current exhibits in the Benton Museum and Dodd Center.
