Current estimates suggest as many as 6.7% of Americans, or 20 million people, are affected by Depression. While the depths of winter can be difficult for many of us, for individuals prone to episodes of depression, or even simple, reactive mood swings these dark, cold days and weeks can be significantly more challenging as activity, motivation and energy levels tend to drop along with outdoor temperatures.
