  • Publishing with PLOS?

Don’t forget about PLOS’ Data Availability policy! PLOS journals require all authors to make their underlying data sets fully available without restriction. When submitting a manuscript, you must submit a Data Availability Statement. Some of the data repositories suggested by PLOS are Dryad, figshare, or Dataverse. But, did you know that UConn Libraries now offers space for research data sets with its Research Data Archive? The University of Connecticut Libraries Data Archive is a digital repository service that features publicly accessible long term data storage and redundancy to comply with national and international standards for digital preservation. Other features include contingencies for disaster recovery, permanent and citable URIs, recurring appraisal cycles, and provisions for authentication, search, discovery, and access in perpetuity. UConn Libraries offers a suite of services to researchers as part of its Research Data Services Program ranging from help with your data management plan to archiving data sets or manuscripts as part of the Open Access Policy.
