We are pleased to announce that two experienced attorneys have joined UConn’s Office of the General Counsel over the summer. Please join us in welcoming both of them to the University.
Erin Beatty - Erin is an Attorney in the General Counsel’s Office. She joins us from the law firm of Harter Secrest & Emery LLP in Rochester, New York, and brings with her eight years of legal experience in the public and private sectors including the representation of higher education institutions. Erin is a graduate of the Syracuse University College of Law, and she holds a B.A. in English Literature from Saint Michael’s College in Vermont.
Nathan “Nate” LaVallee - Nate is an Attorney in the General Counsel’s Office. He has spent the last decade working in the public law sector and joins us most recently from the University of Massachusetts where he served as Associate General Counsel. In that role he handled a full range of higher education issues. Nate graduated from Western New England University School of Law, and holds a B.A. in Business from Albertus Magnus College.
Erin and Nate will assist the Office of the General Counsel in providing legal services in support of the University’s missions including teaching, research and scholarship.
