UConn’s Suicide Prevention Committee is honored that Kevin Briggs and Kevin Berthia will be providing our keynote address to kick off this year’s Suicide Prevention Week. Sgt. Kevin Briggs was the California Highway Patrol officer whose compassionate voice and listening ear prevented Kevin Berthia from taking his own life at the Golden Gate Bridge 10 years ago. Since then, these two men have dedicated their time to suicide prevention efforts, which have been honored by notable organizations such as the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We hope you will join us for a powerful speaking event about recovery and prevention.
