  • 9/10 Reception for Libraries' Current Art Exhibits

Join us in celebrating the artistry of UConn’s scientific illustrator Virge Kask and the striking photography of members of the Connecticut Valley Camera Club at a reception on Thursday, September 10 from 4-6 p.m. in Homer Babbidge Library.

Kask’s exhibit, “Art in Science,” represents 30 years of freelance natural science illustration, including 15 years spent at UConn. Her artwork has been reproduced in scientific journals, children’s books, educational posters, museum exhibits and textbooks.

Started in 2002, the Connecticut Valley Camera Club boasts members as diverse as the photographs they create. From architect to molecular biologist, to flight attendant to landscape architect, they all share a passion for capturing the sights that speak to them. This show, “Photography:  a Passion,” represents the work of 11 members.

The exhibits run through October 19.

We hope to see you there!
