The Office of the Vice President for Research would like to congratulate Dr. Huanzhong Wang, Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Science & Landscape Architecture, who was recently awarded a National Science Foundation CAREER award in the amount of $784,215 for his project "Dissecting the small peptide signal in regulation vascular stem cell proliferation and xylem differentiation." The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program includes 13 program areas, and awards substantial financial support to a highly competitive group of junior faculty.
Dr. Wang’s NSF CAREER award is the first to be received by a faculty member in the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources. The Office of the Vice President for Research applauds Dr. Wang for his clear commitment to research excellence, outstanding teaching, and community engagement. Congratulations, Dr. Wang!
