  • 4/22 Earth Day Spring Fling and Arbor Day Celebrations

Come join the fun Wednesday, April 22nd (11am – 2pm) on Fairfield Way for UConn’s annual Earth Day Spring Fling (EDSF) and Arbor Day celebrations!

Thousands of students, faculty, staff, and others from the University community will gather with a multitude of eco-friendly student groups, exhibitors and local vendors to celebrate Earth Day. Dining Services will host an outdoor zero-waste barbeque, featuring vegan/vegetarian and sustainable food options.

Celebrating UConn's official designation by the Arbor Day Foundation as Tree Campus USA, we will plant over 1,200 blue and white pansies spelling UCONN, followed by the planting of a beautiful Franklinia tree (named after Benjamin Franklin) and a 32 sq. ft. TREE cake, created by the UConn Bakery. Please stop by to help with the UCONN flower planting and enjoy a piece of cake in honor of Arbor Day.

We look forward to seeing you there!
