You’re invited to a special webinar featuring UConn's Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child Partnership team.
The team received the 2026 Provost’s Award for Excellence in Community-Engaged Scholarship in the Community Engagement Faculty Team category. This multidisciplinary partnership brings together expertise from UConn’s Collaboratory on School and Child Health and Rudd Center for Food Policy and Health to help Connecticut schools support every child's academic success, physical health, mental health, and overall well-being.
Working closely with school districts and state partners, the team develops evidence-based tools, professional learning opportunities, and technical assistance to help schools make the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model a sustainable practice. Its statewide efforts have reached dozens of school districts, and its intensive partnership with East Hartford Public Schools has supported school-led initiatives that benefit students, families, educators, and staff.
During this engaging conversation, team members will share the journey behind the partnership, why incorporating community voices into program development matters, and the impact of coordinated approaches to student health and learning.
Whether you’re an educator, student, community member, health professional, or engagement practitioner, this webinar offers a unique opportunity to learn how universities and schools can work together to strengthen student success and community well-being.
