  • 10/29 ASCEND Grant Info Session

We invite you to an upcoming informational session about ASCEND (Advancing Students and Community through Education, Networks, and Workforce Development), a new initiative supported through a $5 million federal grant. ASCEND brings together UConn's Storrs and Hartford campuses to strengthen student success, workforce readiness, critical AI literacy, and community engaged teaching and research by connecting students with the resources, experiences, and networks needed to thrive in college and beyond.

During this session, we will provide an overview of the initiative, discuss its goals, timelines, and areas of focus. We welcome discussions to explore opportunities to collaborate across departments and programs at UConn's Storrs and Hartford campuses, as well as with community agencies and organizations throughout Connecticut.

ASCEND is grounded in the belief that preparing students for success requires meaningful partnerships among higher education, industry, nonprofit, and community organizations. We welcome the opportunity to discuss how we can work together to expand opportunities for students while supporting Connecticut's future workforce.
